$1,875,000 – Fall from Scaffold at Construction Site

Posted in and tagged by Kenneth A. Wilhelm, Esq.

An injured person fell due to a faulty scaffold at a construction site. Our client was descending from a roof to a scaffold. He was propelled to the ground as he hit a plank, which broke. He fractured his hip, back and arm. Our client, who worked in the construction industry for 40 years of his life, claimed he was permanently disabled from construction work. The case was settled during trial for $1,700,000 and we were able to save the injured person $175,000 that he owed to the workers’ compensation insurance company.
