$1,800,000 – Infant with Brain Damage & Spastic Quadriplegia

Posted in and tagged by Kenneth A. Wilhelm, Esq.

Doctors were responsible for negligence in the delivery of an infant in a Harlem Hospital leaving the child with brain damage and spastic quadriplegia. The child was not expected to live much longer, and if the child passed away before we settled, it would have greatly limited the amount that could have been recovered. We thought it was in the best interest for the family to settle the case at that time. Unfortunately, the child did die shortly after we recovered the settlement. If the case were not settled before the child died, we would not have been able to recover this amount.
