$850,000 – Car Accident

The Law Offices of Kenneth A. Wilhelm recently settled a case for $850,000 out of a $1 million insurance policy in which the previous lawyer got an offer of $125,000.  The person who was injured was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was hit in the rear.  The injured person had an operation on her neck and other injuries.  The injured person had a prior accident about one year before our accident in which she also injured her neck and for which she was treated up until the day before our accident.  After our accident, she had another car accident in which she was treated for a neck injury as well.  In 1980, she had had another car accident in which she was treated for a neck injury.  It was difficult to distinguish which of these accidents was the cause of any current neck problems that she is having.  We were also able to reduce amounts that she owed for worker’s compensation, etc. and save the client $83,378.
