Construction Worker Injured in Jackhammer Accident

A construction worker suffered injuries while using a jackhammer at a New York work site. According to a DNAinfo.com news report, the construction site accident occurred at 206 E. 61st Street in the Upper East Side. Officials say he was working on a townhouse when the jackhammer fell on his feet. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby medical center. It is unclear how the accident occurred or if the investigators with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) are looking into what caused the incident.
