A while back, a wonderful and determined mother whose child was diagnosed with Erb’s palsy, also known as Brachial Plexus palsy, contacted us to help her. The condition severely affected the child’s mobility and quality of life.
The child was unable to raise their arm above their head, and their hand would invert when brought to their mouth. The elbow could only reach shoulder height in a bent position, and these challenges also impacted the child’s ability to walk properly.
This devastating injury occurred because the delivering doctor failed to perform a cesarean section (C-section), which would have prevented the harm to the child’s arm during birth. After a determined fight for justice, the case resolved for more than $2,200,000.
When medical negligence changes lives, families deserve answers and justice.
