Man Awarded $2.3 Million in Supermarket Slip-and-Fall Accident

A man was awarded $2.3 million after he suffered injuries in a slip-and-fall accident at a grocery store. According to a UPI news report, the man slipped and fell on crushed fruit left in one of the aisles at Kroger grocery store. Kroger officials said they didn’t have any video of the incident because they did not keep videos for longer than 17 days and that there were no cameras pointed to the spot where the accident happened. However, attorneys for the victim showed there were cameras pointed at the correct spot. The victim suffered serious damage to his spinal cord and could not keep his job as a commercial landscaper. He had about $135,000 in medical bills from the accident.
