Ongoing Traffic Issues
The victim and two other people were struck while waiting at a bus stop. The woman died at the scene. Police say the chain of events started on Bruckner Boulevard when a 52-year-old woman driving an SUV crossed two lanes and cut in front of the delivery truck to make a right turn.

Tenants in the building had apparently complained that the road was dangerous and had asked for a traffic control device. One neighbor said he and a friend were almost hit by a car several weeks ago as they were walking back to their apartment. Other long-time neighbors said Bruckner Boulevard had long been a dangerous place to cross because traffic lights at the intersection frequently malfunction or stop working completely. The intersection is also dangerous for pedestrians, neighbors said.
