A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway on Long Island. According to a news report, the pedestrian accident occurred the afternoon of June 25 on Main Street near Clinton Street in Center Moriches. Suffolk County Police said a 25-year-old woman was driving an SUV westbound on Main Street when she hit the victim as she crossed the roadway.
