In any fatal or serious injury collision, there are several questions that must be asked. Who was at fault? Did one of the drivers fail to follow the rules of the road? Did alcohol, drugs, distracted driving, inattention or some other form of negligence cause or contribute to the accident? In such cases, the at-fault parties can be held liable for the injuries, damages and losses caused. An injured victim can file a personal injury claim against the at-fault driver as well as his or her employer. A family who has lost a loved one can file a wrongful death claim seeking damages.
